Who we are
Our website address is: http://northernvirginiachorale.org. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that presents quality choral concerts to the community at reasonable prices.
The aim of this website is to share information about the Northern Virginia Chorale and the concerts we present. As a convenience, we also provide a way for viewers to share this information, to sign up for a newsletter about our activities, to contact the Chorale via email, to purchase tickets to performances, to purchase CDs of past performances, and to support the Chorale by making a donation or advertising in our concert programs.
All of these services are handled through third parties with their own privacy policies or are handled off-line; we do not collect and store any personal information on this website. Names and email addresses provided for email contact are not saved.
The following third parties are used:
Mailchimp, for monthly TinyLetter updates
PayPal, for financial transactions
Bandman Music, for CD orders, handled offline via a downloadable form
Advertising and information, handled offline via a downloadable form
Our contact form collects name, email address, the purpose of your email, and a message. It is used to respond to the email and it is not saved.

How long we retain your data
We do not retain any data from contact forms. Financial information is gathered by PayPal for transactions and email addresses are collected by MailChimp if a visitor elects to receive the newsletter; the website has no access to this data.
What rights you have over your data
Email addresses can be removed from the newsletter by following Mail Chimp’s instructions in each newsletter.
Where we send your data
Email is screened by the website hosting service to filter out junk email.
Your contact information
The only information requested on this website consists of the user’s name, email address, purpose of the email, and message; it is discarded once the email is sent.
What third parties we receive data from
Access to information collected by third parties is not available through the website and is restricted to appropriate Chorale personnel. The Chorale treasurer has access to data collected by PayPal. The owner of the TinyLetter account has access to email addresses of subscribers.
(Note: this section is probably not needed; I just put it here in case it is relevant.)
