Read about us in the news: “Northern Virginia Chorale Builds Community.”

From its inception in 1975, the Northern Virginia Chorale has sought to present performances of distinguished choral music from a variety of genres. With a vast repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music, the Chorale has achieved a well-earned reputation for providing its community with high quality performances.  Under the direction of our new artistic director Trevor Tran, who joined the chorale in January of 2023, the Chorale expanded even more with pieces not only in English, Spanish, German, Latin, and Hebrew, but also Arabic and the rhythmic sounds of India.

The 2024-25 season – the Chorale’s 49th – will include selections from Handel’s Messiah in for the holiday concert in December, Vivaldi’s Gloria with instrumentalists in for a masterworks concert in March, and a spring concert in May with a wide variety of love songs from across the musical spectrum.

Chorale concerts and rehearsals are held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 5800 Backlick Road, Springfield, Virginia 22150.
