Who we are

Our website address is: https://northernvirginiachorale.org. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that presents quality choral concerts to the community at reasonable prices.

Our Purpose

The aim of this website is to share information about the Northern Virginia Chorale and the concerts we present. As a convenience, we also provide a way for viewers to share this information, to sign up for a newsletter about our activities, to contact the Chorale via email, to purchase tickets to performances, to purchase CDs of past performances, and to support the Chorale by making a donation or advertising in our concert programs.

Third parties

All of these services are handled through third parties with their own privacy policies or are handled off-line; we do not collect and store any personal information on this website. Names and email addresses provided for email contact are not saved.

The following third parties are used:

Mailchimp, for monthly TinyLetter updates

PayPal, for financial transactions (PayPal is PCI compliant)

Bandman Music, for CD orders, handled offline via a downloadable form

Advertising and information, handled offline via a downloadable form

Contact forms

Our contact form collects name, email address, the purpose of your email, and a message. It is used to respond to the email and it is not saved.

Cookies

We do not have a login page and we do not use cookies.

Analytics

Information for analytics may include pages visited, IP address, date/time, browser type, and other such data.

How long we retain your data

We do not retain any data from contact forms. Financial information is gathered by PayPal for transactions and email addresses are collected by MailChimp if a visitor elects to receive the newsletter; the website has no access to this data.

What rights you have over your data

Email addresses can be removed from the newsletter by following Mail Chimp’s instructions in each newsletter.

Where we send your data

Email is screened by the website hosting service to filter out junk email.

Your contact information

The only information requested on this website consists of the user’s name, email address, purpose of the email, and message; it is discarded once the email is sent.

Additional information

What third parties we receive data from

Access to information collected by third parties is not available through the website and is restricted to appropriate Chorale personnel. The Chorale treasurer has access to transaction data collected by PayPal (which does not include any data pertaining to credit/debit cards). The owner of the TinyLetter account has access to email addresses of subscribers.
